ellephotography.com
lolarosephotography.com

you can be confident in knowing i'm still as indecisive as ever.

to be continued...

so far, today has been rather strange.

we ditched the rest of financial accounting, because sitting through that class is a joke, and i have like 105% anyway. unfortunately, tim can't say the same. well, he can about the jokefulness of the class. which is why we left. so we went to music go round to find solder. what we found instead was fake jesse ley, working alongside the real jesse ley! also, tim's [mandated edit: former] myspace crush was in there, watching the fake jesse ley tune a guitar. it took him quite awhile. he was probably trying to hit on her, despite the large, red-headed guy next to her. however, red-headed guys always tend to be rather tame, while red-headed girls are rather insane. weird? yes.

so we talked to real jesse ley for awhile, and i gave him $3.20, and he gave me solder and guitar strings. good deal for me, eh? i also looked for new glasses, but could not find a frame i liked. i'll probably do what i did last time, and buy frames for $10 from Spencer's or some place similar, and get lenses put in them for $50. but i must act quickly. i have 3 weeks.

i'm convinced i'm unboyfriendable. tim says it's not true. maybe i should conduct a poll.

random white stripes song in my head. where'd that come from? i don't know!

i'll leave you all to wonder whether or not it's relevant. the status of my relationship, or perhaps lack thereof, should be a paling tidbit of information, as you are most likely overwhelmed by the fact that i'm actually updating. and there is no trip to or from canadians involved. perhaps i just missed you all? yeah, maybe.

anyway, 2006 has been a pretty awesome year, overall. i've travelled the continent and nearly died, but it was fun times. recently i've been able to have a taste of what it's like to have a best friend, and i quite enjoy it. i plan to hold on to it for as long as i can. and while there may not be an actual tap in the rockies producing coors light, the mountains do provide for some excellent fudge.

questions and comments are much appreciated. there's way too much to go into detail on everything, but i will be happy to expound if anyone cares.

music is my life )

so, christmas was pretty awesome this year. i went to church in the morning, and then in the evening i went to dinner at my uncle's house. it was really nice to see family i hadn't seen in awhile. i really should do it more often. i thought it might be awkward, since i hate it when people ask me a lot of questions. but i actually didn't get much of that at all. i guess they all know what's going on with me since my mom keeps in touch with them all. i wish i'd been close to people growing up. i guess even from the beginning i've always been somewhat of a loner.

i'm not sure what i'm going to do tonight. there's a show i kind of want to see. and some people from church are getting together right now. but i think if i do anything, i'll go to my old church for watch night service. i loved that, the fellowship, then the candlelighting service. and it'll be good to see people there. but i'm exhausted, and i have a lot of work to do on the website. so i may just be lame and a geek, and work on that tonight. we'll see.

really, all i want to do is take a nap. is it lame i can't stay awake? i have been up for a really long time...

here's to hoping for an awesome 2006 for everyone. what are you most looking forward to?

Current Music: Belle and Sebastian - The Gate
so, i've come up with a plan. how i'm going to execute this plan, i don't know. but at least i have a plan.

and what is this plan? well, i'm going to rent a movie theatre. but not for the sole purpose of showing movies. no, opening a new movie theatre would be a bad business move, as the theatre i want, which had been around for quite some time, was forced to close. i'm guessing due to Loews Theatre at the waterfront. i know i would prefer going there. so, no, no new place to see the latest blockbuster hits. so what else can you do with your own movie theatre? why, turn it into the ultimate place to find entertainment, that's what! in the main part of the theatre will be the performance room. also known as my very own concert venue. i may actually need to combine two rooms to have a large enough space, which would mean i'd need to buy instead of rent the theatre. but we'll see. in another room will be the music store. CDs and instruments. depending on how many rooms there are i may have one of each. another room will be the bookstore. and i'll have an actual theatre in another room. moreso to show indie films and student films, though. our own sundance. and in the foyer will be the coffee shop, which also serves light snacks, pastries and other refreshements. actually, considering the number of renovations i'd have to do, i probably will need to buy it. hmm...

so, now that i have a plan, all i need are investors. and blueprints. and a business partner that's much better than i am at convincing people they should give me money. it's totally possible, though. and i think it'd be the raddest place ever. maybe i can even get a contract with some big named organization to have live broadcasts, kind of like what the 9:30 Club does with NPR. then there'll be even more incentive for bands to come and play. this could be a good thing. this could be an awesome thing. i wish i knew how to make it happen.

so, somephotography.com has finally been updated. for as long as it's been, you'd think there'd be more to show for it. but, alas. such is life. greg's home, so perhaps i'll take fun hanging out pictures. he has a better camera than i do, though, so chances are i'll take them on his camera, and then never see them again. honestly, that's what happens to most of my pictures. digital doesn't matter if people never send you the files.

other than that, not much is going on in my life. i joined a gym for a two week trial. i doubt i'll stay there. it's bally total fitness, and i just don't like the atmosphere. it is nice that they have a pool. but so does club 1, and it's right around the corner from work, instead of 20 minutes away, so i'll be more likely to go right when i get off. there's no guarantee i'll do anything, though. i guess we'll see. um, i shoveled 64 gallons of gravel tonight. my annoying heart is being even more annoying daily.

and that's about all.

i haven't updated since sean and brad left? man, i'm lame. even more lame, because i have nothing to say. except that i miss them. and others. i've been surrounded by people lately, yet i feel very lonely.

i had coffee ice cream tonight for dinner, hoping it would help me to concentrate. if anything, it seems to have enhanced my lack of focus. maybe i'll try to write. oh, wait. that's what i'm doing now...

we've been talking about the end time and everything a lot lately. sometimes i get overwhelmed with excitement thinking about it. i'll be glad for a time of no worries. that joy gives me peace.

i can't concentrate on anything at all. and my nap coupled with the ice cream pretty much ruins all thought of going to bed early. maybe i'll bang on my keyboard for awhile.

no one has updated since sunday? such slackers we are.

or perhaps there's not much to talk about. monday, we played disc golf. tuesday, we baked stuff. wednesday is today. they go home today. today is sad.

although, that may be attributed to the rain.

Current Mood: tired
Current Music: phantom planet - recently distressed; brad - random keyboard playing
today i took the boys to record exchange. two record exchanges, actually. sean bought a ton of cds. as did i. and i shall proceed to list them here:

the mars volta - frances the mute
the new pornographers - electric version
elliott smith - either/or
eels - electro-shock blues
cerys matthews - cockahoop
e - a man called e
steve miller band - greatest hits
ben folds five - naked baby photos
son, ambulance - son, ambulance

i'm not sure how much i paid for them, but together, sean and i spent $87.19. he'll have his list up soon enough. brad exercised restraint and didn't get nearly as many. or perhaps he just couldn't find much.

what else? um, disc golf today. i was the only one there who'd played before, yet we all played pretty evenly. why? because i'm awful, that's why. it was a good time. yet muddy. i got mud in my shoes and it was icky.

now i am quite tired. so so tired. if you ever thought the dragons show on the animal channel looked interesting, you were wrong. so so wrong.

i now have a sleeping sean on my arm. and a sleeping brad on the mattress at my feet. i wish i could keep them here forever.

it's so hard to believe it is now day 4 of brad and sean's visit.
since i know sean won't update his journal about the trip, i'll give you all a brief synopsis of what's been going on.

thursday was a day of much driving. we got free cookies. and learned the secret to hunting quail.

friday was a day of not as much driving but still quite a bit. we got free brownies. and saw jack-jack attack.

saturday was a day of recreation. i got a free game of DDR. and sean, brian and i were rockstars.

sunday has been a day of rest. we didn't really get anything for free. but the day's not over yet.

sean. is awesome.
that's all i have to say about that.

brad, what should i say about you?
brad. is good looking.

mike won't read this, so i can say anything about him, and it wouldn't matter.

what is the perk of sharing a hotel room with 3 guys? getting a bed to yourself while watching the others share.

well, and then some. it's too bad i didn't have my camera.

i miss mike. it's too bad he lives on the other side of the state. he's such a fun guy.

genesis, what happened to you? i tried to call you, but we got disconnected or something. i hope you didn't drive out and we left without seeing you. although, either way, i'm sad we didn't get to hang out. you'll have to come to state college now.

this should be a fun week. tim, you have to come hang out with us sometime. even if it's just so that we can walk around. i think we're going to go to CeCe's Pizza in Cranberry/Mars when they leave, so perhaps you can come to that? Other than that, I'm not too sure what's going on this week. We'll keep you informed. Oh, there's also Tuesday night bible study. We'll be there, and then probably go out to eat before or after.

we need to take a mad amount of pictures. like now.

hey sean, you should double check with greyhound and find out when the last day is you can get a companion ticket. i know in the past it's been 3 days advance purchase, but it's different now, so i'm not sure what the new policy is.

2005 is turning out to be a pretty good year. things are looking up for our family. my mom has finally found a way to get her finances in order. that's a big feat for a 25 year single mom who's going to be 52 next month, and spent several years on disability. now if only i can stop her from giving into scams so she doesn't end up with a super lame, overpriced laptop that doesn't even work... i'm excited about getting stuff fixed around here. i may even be able to make something out of the basement. if we have enough money.

9 days. i'm so excited. i need to find someone to go to the bus station still, though.

i really really need to exercise.
